Mrs. Gayle Woolley

Basic Philosophy:

The Arts in high school should be an opportunity to develop interests, skills, and habits that will make life more successful and happy. Students should be exposed to the many possibilities that will add to the quality of their future lives. Art is one of those subjects that can make you more appreciative of your environment, more confident of your abilities, and better able to communicate and understand others. Art just makes life better!

Classroom Discipline:

Art class is about fostering a creative atmosphere. Students behavior which distracts from this and limits the opportunities for others is unacceptable.

Homework Policy:

Very little homework is assigned in art, with the exception of a weekly drawing which should take about one hour's work each week. However, assignments not completed in class will need to be finished at home.

Courses:

Art 1 Drawing and Color / Art 2 Design and Painting / Art 3-Sculpture / Commercial / Painting / Art 4 Independent
