Curriculum

Curriculum Supervisors: contact each school principal

Curriculum (what students should know and be able to do) in most public schools is a mile wide and an inch deep. Teton County School District #401 teachers are working to tighten the target for what is written, taught, tested, and reported within our schools. This will result in better achievement for all students.

Teachers throughout the district use reading, language arts, math, science, social studies, humanities, and health curriculum that has been aligned to the State Achievement Standards. The curriculum matches each standard to a teaching goal, provides a quality teaching method for instruction of the goal, resources used to teach that goal, and assessments to measure whether the goal was taught and learned.

District staff use the data from the Idaho Standards Achievement Tests (ISAT) and other assessments to look at individual student needs and plan strategies to help meet those needs.
